Whenever I go to a golf tournament, one area I never ignore spending time would be the golf practice range. It’s intriguing to watch professionals when they are truly practicing their craft. Hence what do the women and men who make their living competing in golf accomplish that the majority of us never do? Several things, actually, and some that appear to bear little significance really are significant.
1. Organize yourself before you hit that first golf ball. Remember to dress appropriately, including golf footwear and glove. Decide particularly what you propose to work on during your session, along with by all means, stretch appropriately, not only prior to your first golf shot, but at normal intervals.
2. Do not begin with the driver! Begin using the Pitching Wedge and work your way up, finishing with your driver. This is important to correct any faults as they creep within the swing, accordingly it will become simplier and easier to correct when you build up the length of the swing.
3. Take some time between shots. When you find yourself at the golf practice range, make every one of them matter. Step back and analyze why you miss hit a golf ball as opposed to simply brushing it off. Modify your target areas on a regular basis, because it’ll cause you to regularly reconsider your alignment and position relating to the ball. Occasionally after set up, lay a golf club on the ground touching your toes, subsequently check from behind to see whether you’ve aligned yourself how you had wanted. I do know often I am surprised how much my alignment was off.
4. Attempt to recreate conditions regarding the golf course as much as you can when practicing. This may require some imagination, but visualize out of bounds or perhaps a water hazard on one side or the other of your target area.
5. Focus! I watched Tiger Woods on the practice green along with his caddy at Celtic Manor, and his focus was unbelievable. There existed no interaction with anybody else. That held accurate for each of the golfers while they were at the driving range. Turn off the cell phone and do not socialize.
6. Most essential, have fun. Make a game of being on the golf practice range. Challenge yourself to hit five consecutive shots inside five feet of a objective, or three drives on the left of an imaginary fairway, after that three right plus three center. Using some imagination it may be almost as much enjoyment as being on the golf course.
Preparation won’t have to become all drudgery. Developing the Correct Golf Swing can be enjoyable, and the greater fun you have at the golf practice range, the more anxious you are going to be to return and the better you’ll become.
